My dad built Kenzie a "throne" to have near the window so she can watch outside. She hasn't gotten totally used to it yet. I think she thinks it's too nice for her to be on it yet.

Mackenzie's first walk on a frozen lake!

mackenzie ran down to the lake and hit the frozen water and slid! Quite the surprised look on her face! I think she was expecting the water as it was last time she was there, but instead she slid. Then thought it was pretty fun and jumped and played!

Nov 2 ... Kenzie is getting bigger!

Mackenzie now weighs 42 pounds, getting heavy to pick up! keeps learning new tricks and loves to run around after leaves outside. And just loves to see Ryan come home from college on weekends!

Oct. 22

Mackenzie is growing

Mackenzie still likes to be held and thinks she is a 38 pound lap dog. She has learned a few more tricks and will try to do anything for a treat!

Sept 12 - home from the vet!

Kenzie went to the vet yesterday for her spay operation. She is home now and has to wear a cone-collar, and is NOT happy about it. Hopefully she will heal quickly and can be up and running around again soon!

Last 2 weekends of summer at the lake.

Mackenzie at the cabin. She still enjoys sleeping in shoes. Makes me smile everytime I see her! She loves the boats and the tubes and being in the lake. She is her happiest at our cabin. She is growing fast, and learning so much. She is such a cuddler, and a great companion.

Kenzie has learned a few tricks. This is her begging for a treat.

Mackenzie at 5 months. Growing bigger all the time. This week I noticed a huge change. She is filling out more, lots of Big Teeth, all of a sudden, and her fur has changed texture quite a bit. She has also started to noticeably feel bad if she does something she thinks is wrong. Before she had a blank look, now she comes to you with her tail and head down feeling bad.

July 26

Kenzie is growing and growing and loves the cabin and the lake. She likes lounging on the dock in the sun, and running on the beach. She is 30 pounds now, but still a cuddler and likes to be on our laps. Still going to puppy obedience classes and is learning pretty well. She can heel with me each morning on our walks, does good laying down, staying for a while, anyway,

4th of July weekend at the Cabin!

Jennifer's dog, Allis, played in the water with her. Mackenzie was out on the raft, swam after balls, and kept very busy! Until we went on the pontoon, and she slept the whole time!

Weekend at the cabin....June 27-28

Kenzie is enjoying the lake! She is now swimming after balls and she jumped off the boat!

June 17th!

Mackenzie continues to be fun!

Ryan graduated June 6th!

She spent time at the cabin with other dogs and enjoyed running around. Doing very well staying in our yard there. Hasn't ventured out in the lake yet, but the water is very cold! Still loves to lay on her back. Has moved from just wanting to sleep on shoes, to now taking them someplace and chewing on them.

So now, not so cute!

Memorial Weekend

Mackenzie's first experience at the cabin! She spent Sat at my parents cabin and watched Hayley jump in the freezing water after a ball, and just stepped in the lake herself. Then ran around at our cabin on Sun/Mon playing with the other dogs and just enjoying being outside near the water. She also experienced her first hail storm and LOUD sounds that were pretty scary!

And ALWAYS still needs to sleep near our shoes. She even jammed her nose in my wet clogs and took a nap!
